Ascendance: Elevate Your Coaching Practice
An exclusive invitation for the coaches in my network
There’s a universal current pulling me in a particular direction.
To be honest, I’ve been reluctant to follow this direction, because I’m not a business coach, and I don’t want to be one. But perhaps that’s why I should. Perhaps that’s why I’m being asked to. Perhaps that’s why I continue to find myself supporting other coaches with their businesses, and why the opportunities to do so keep falling into my lap.
What started with a few clients and a year-long mentorship has developed into my own coaching program (keep reading) and a formal business offering through the world’s largest health coaching school (details to come).
Safe to say, I’m choosing to ride this current.
I can’t ignore it any longer. There are too many well-meaning, heart-centered coaches falling into the traps of soulless strategies and cold formulas offered by people who have never had successful coaching businesses themselves and often don’t even understand what coaching is. I see it all the time.
The LinkedIn messages, “Can you handle more clients, Zachary? We’ll qualify and close leads for you. Zachary?”
The IG ads, “10x your business. Get 50 leads a day. Create your 6-figure funnel. Create your 7-figure business on autopilot.”
Plus, the classic marketing strategies of urgency and scarcity everywhere we turn. It’s gross, and I know I’m not alone when I say I want no part in it.
Turns out following what feels right to me is an act of rebellion. I’m doing the exact opposite. I have been for a bit now. And it’s working wonders.
And I help other coaches do this with their businesses, but like I said, I’m not a business coach.
Back in my early days of health coaching, I used to say I’m not a weight loss coach, even though many of my clients significantly reduced their weight. This is sort of like that.
I’m not a business coach, but many of my clients experience their businesses taking off and reaching new heights, without jeopardizing their quality of life. It’s not about following predetermined formulas or scripts—it’s about creating something unique, authentic and sustainable. It’s about building a business that’s a reflection of you.
I’ve spent the last decade doing just that, and it hasn’t been a straight line. It’s been full of ups and downs, twists and turns. I’ve failed, learned, adapted, and grown through it all, and I’m grateful for every step because it’s brought me to where I am today.
Today, with a business I love—a business that enhances my life, aligns with my values, and fits my preferences. Nothing in my business requires me to compromise or do anything that doesn’t feel right or sit well with me.
Everything in my business revolves around who I am, what I care about, and how I want to provide value, because that’s why businesses exist: to provide value. And that’s how businesses make money, a measurement of value, via transactions, exchanges of value.
Now, my business is the most successful, sustainable (that’s key), and enjoyable it’s ever been, and that’s because of the rollercoaster of experiences I’ve ridden for all those years.
It’s because I’ve tried many different paths. It’s because I’ve spent more than $30k of my own money in business education, and even more on business experimentation. It’s because Alex Hormozi used to be my business mentor. It’s because a pandemic shut down our gym and forced me and my partners to adapt in new ways. It’s because some of those new ways worked and others didn’t. It’s because I’ve tried and failed and learned and have grown so much that I no longer even use the term “fail.”
I have a good read on what works and what doesn’t. As a coach myself with my finger on the industry’s pulse, I see the ways in which conventional business advice doesn’t always apply to this profession. I see where things have gone awry. And I see what’s needed in this space.
And I want to share everything I know with you—while guiding you to make it your own.
Introducing Ascendance
In an increasingly dreary landscape filled with soulless business strategies and empty promises, Ascendance offers a genuine, heart-centered approach that aligns with the coaching profession.
This program is for coaches who would rather take inspired action than hustle.
It’s for coaches who don’t care about their volume of followers or the latest trendy content and instead want to focus on creating meaningful connections, genuinely expressing themselves, serving first, and living in the frequency of abundance.
It’s for coaches who don’t want a full calendar and don’t refer to people as “leads.”
It’s for coaches who would rather go narrow and deep than wide and shallow.
It’s for coaches who would rather powerfully serve a handful of clients at a time than put as many as possible through a cookie-cutter program.
It’s for coaches who want to have a waiting list.
Ascendance is for the coaches who want to set themselves apart by offering bespoke, high-value, and transformational services to select clients while creating a life and business they love.
If that’s you, I think we’ll enjoy working together.
You’ll learn how to create and sustain a thriving coaching practice that doesn’t drain your energy but instead ignites you and fills your life with joy, purpose, and abundance.
