Often confusion about a decision
is really just avoidance.
You Know what the right decision is for you,
but it requires you to experience discomfort
and face fears.
You Know what’s true for you.
You’re just concerned about what will happen
when you follow what’s true for you.
And so the ego interferes,
trying to protect you from the very fears
it’s imagining and projecting unto a blank,
uncertain future.
The ego tries to justify.
Rationalize.
Negotiate.
Convince.
Argue.
This is not confusion.
This is fear flailing against the heart’s truth.
And you have no greater allegiance
than to your heart’s truth.
Consider this:
Am I confused,
or am I avoiding what I Know to be true?
Consider this, did you come here to live in fear of life?

This hit. So often we call it confusion when it’s actually clarity we’re resisting because we know it will cost us something to honor it. Beautifully said. I just published my first piece—very much in this territory of becoming through disruption. Grateful to have found your voice here.
A) Yes, I am stalking your Substack to catch up on your musings. B) This is so resonant right now… you wouldn’t believe it. Thank you.
