One of the biggest shifts that has happened for me in recent months is the complete and total conviction that I am the creator of my reality.
I don’t believe this. I Know this. There is a difference.
And this Knowing has transformed the way I think, feel, and live.
As a result, my relationship with life has changed.
As a result, my life has changed.
I create all of this.
If something unfavorable happens, I don’t complain. I simply ask, “Why might I have attracted this into my life? What is this here to teach me?”
And, my favorite, “How is this for my benefit?”
This shapes the filter through which I see the world. It shapes my thoughts and my feelings. That is, my frequency.
As a result, I notice more and more advantageous scenarios and circumstances revealing themselves in my life.
I’ve been aware of this creative power for years, but it has always been like a phantom. It’s become accessible through my acknowledgment of one particular principle: the mirror principle.
The world is what you believe it to be.
It’s like a riddle, prompting you to answer, “Guess what I am all about.”
Everyone responds in their own way according to their own perceptions: “You are unforgiving, generous, hopeless, friendly, violent, or peaceful.”
The interesting thing is that every single answer is correct. Why?
Because life is a mirror that reflects your relationship to it.
Reality simply, consistently, and dispassionately agrees with our beliefs about it.
As the creator, you create the world you believe yourself to inhabit. You create the life you believe yourself to be living.
This is the mirror.
This isn’t like the mirrors we know, which immediately reflect the image presented to it.
The mirror of reality does not reflect instantly. Thank goodness it doesn’t.
The reflection is composed gradually and manifested overtime through the impression you compose unto reality.
It’s like an old camera, where everyone had to stay still for a while in order for the photograph to take.
Whatever thoughts and feelings you send out into the world will return to you like a boomerang.
Every thought and feeling carries a frequency- a vibrational resonance.
The frequency of your most consistent thoughts and feelings align with the frequency of that which you receive in your life.
When we use our reality to inform our thoughts and feelings, there is a closed feedback loop that happens.
We observe reality, and then think and feel certain ways according to our observations of what’s happening. Those thoughts and feelings are then confirmed and reinforced through our experience of reality. The reflection informs the image, which, in turn, forms the reflection.
Everything continues to look and feel similar and cycles repeat themselves because we are reacting to what is rather than creating what will be. As a result, we get more of the same.
We are the cause and what we observe in reality is the effect. You can tinker with the effects—the reflection— all you want, but you won’t experience the transformational power of your creative potential until you operate on the causal level.
Operating on the causal level is on the cutting edge of human evolution.
So it’s essential to pay more attention to the image we present to the mirror (our thoughts and emotions), rather than the reflection we see back (our reality).
Look inward first. It all begins and ends within.
Alpha and omega.
Attend to the inner world more than the outer world.
It’s our inner world that determines all of our experience, coloring the lens through which we conduct our observations of reality.
Inner is primary. Outer is secondary. Always.
This is different than the common state of the human condition, which is to react to the observable reality rather than creating the reality to come.
We abandon our creative power in reactivity.
Reactivity is the past activating the past. The reaction itself is comprised of cognitive-behavioral patterns based on past experiences, and that reaction is activated by present circumstances, which are reflections of our past thoughts and feelings.
In short, there’s no possibility in reactivity.
So reclaim your creative power by taking ownership over your internal world- your thoughts and emotions. Use them to compose the image you wish to see reflected back to you in reality.
This truly is a paradigm shift for most people. It certainly was for me.
As a result of this mirror principle, I’ve developed such an awareness and mastery of my internal state that today I am able to cultivate whatever thoughts and feelings I wish, regardless of what’s happening around me.
And through practicing this overtime, I have developed unshakeable beliefs that are unlike anything I ever could have imagined in my days of being depressed, alcoholic, and, at times, suicidal.
I no longer react to reality. I compose it.
As a result, I choose thoughts and emotions that cultivate the frequency I wish to embody and, therefore, see reflected back to me.
This reverses the feedback loop. Rather than the reflection informing the image, the image informs the reflection.
Understanding their creative power, pass all of your thoughts and emotions through a filter. You can simply ask, “Is this a thought and emotion I wish to experience more of?”
If so, great. Enjoy it.
If not, great. Change it.
This creative power is inherent. It’s your birthright.
I’ve found that simply increasing awareness of this principle and seeing how it manifests in one’s life is enough to spark the flame of the creator within.
In other words, you know how to shape your internal world. You simply forget to or perhaps don’t realize how important it is to do so. Or perhaps you haven’t yet woken up to the patterns that run your life on autopilot.
I invite you to become aware. Awareness if the birthplace of choice.
Once you’re aware of what you’re doing, you have the ability to choose differently.
So what kind of world do you want to live in?
Do you want your life to be abundant?
Good. Think thoughts and feel emotions that cultivate a frequency of abundance.
If you feel stuck, simply ask yourself, “How would I be thinking and feeling if I was abundant?” Sit with this. Notice the thoughts and emotions that arise. Allow them to be. Experience them fully. Remember this feeling. Memorize this frequency by embodying it often.
Rather than living in resistance, opposing that which you do not want, let it be. If it’s here, what other rational choice is there? Instead, concentrate your attention on what you do want.
I’ve been around someone who always says, “That’s my luck,” when something seemingly negative happens. The world agrees and presents circumstances that confirm this self-delusion of bad luck.
It’s been fascinating to witness.
What about going through life believing that you have extraordinary luck?
Imagine going through life with the belief that your world takes care of you.
Imagine going through life with the belief that everything happens for your benefit, even if you can’t yet see how.
Imagine going through life with the belief that the universe conspires in your favor.
Your reality would transform before your eyes.
Reverse the mirror’s feedback loop. Don’t focus on the reflection in the mirror. Target your attention on the image you wish to present to the mirror instead.
Cultivate the frequency you wish to experience through fostering an inner world that contains precisely that which you wish to have reflected back to you in the outer world.
You were born with creative power that you’ve forgotten because you’ve been conditioned by people who have forgotten theirs and a society that wishes to suppress it.
Reclaim it. It’s yours.
Try it on.
What do you want your world to be like?
How would you think and feel it your world was like that already?
Think that way now. Feel that way now.
Believe it’s here, and it will be.
